Plopsaqua, De Panne, Belgium

Plopsaland is a theme park from Studio 100 in the Belgian town of De Panne, located on the North Sea coast near the French border. The theme park is part of the Plopsa Group and is named after the children's programmes from Studio 100. The park opened in 1935 under the name of Meli-Park and was re-branded in 2000 as "Plopsaland De Panne".
Various attractions, restaurants and theatres can be found in the park. There is even a hotel in the park. In addition, "Plopsaqua" can be found on the grounds. Plopsaqua is a water park of 4,000 m2 that opened its doors to the public on 22 March 2015. It is fully decorated in a wintry "Vicky the Viking" style.

A warm experience in wintry surroundings

WaterVision has provided both the 25-metre pool as well as the other three swimming pools with underwater lighting from the successful WV15 series. In addition, WaterVision has used CrystalColor lamps above water to support the Vicky the Viking theme and create the right wintry atmosphere. The ultimate goal was to use this scenographic lighting to give visitors a warm experience in wintry surroundings.
